1st Collaboration, 2014
Following RI's first meeting at SJSS on 31 Oct 2013, where Head Science 1 Mr Joseph Chong and Assistant Department Head (Lower Sec Science) Mrs Chan Lian Ching first approached SJSS to collaborate on 'Waste Management' Projects Sharing for students of both schools, the proposal for collaboration became a reality on 19 September 2014, when a team of 29 Lower Secondary RI Students, accompanied by Mrs Chan and Mr Wu Bokai, attended SJSS Students' presentations on 'Waste Management in Japan' held at SJSS campus.
The Sharing Programme of SJSS is shown in the photo below: A list of Waste Management Projects by SJSS Presenters, mentored by their Teachers.
The students started their preparations of their project presentations before they returned to Japan for their Summer Holidays in Aug 2014. During their Summer Holidays, they did further research on the topics assigned to them, and when they returned from holidays, they had even more research materials to include in their group presentations.
Two Research Project Teams from RI also volunteered to share their 'Waste Management' Research projects at this session:
