Demonstrating what will be shared with SJSS Students in Sep 2014

Concurrently in mid 2014, RI Lower Secondary Science Unit was in the midst of preparating for the 5th RI Hair for Hope Project (organisd by Raffles Leadership Institute Year 5-6) to support fund-raising effort of the Singapore Children’s Cancer Foundation.

Six Year 1 student-volunteers learnt how to make hair ink from human hair collected by their seniors at this community service project (hair collected in 2013 4th RI Hair for Hope Project).

After learning the technique, these students demonstrated the experiment to SJSS Team on 3 April 2014 at Science Hub Discovery Laboratory.  This demonstration of making ink made from human hair will be shared with SJSS Students when they come for Exchange Programme at RI on 17 Sep 2014.
